See how to connectStart with a question
Examples of what you can ask with the Bunnatic connector.
“Find my expenses for this month”
Look up your records and follow links to the original data.“What is my Available Cash today?”
Read Bunnatic’s calculation, with its sources and limits. It is not your bank balance.“Prepare a bank reconciliation for me to review”
Open the proposal in Bunnatic and decide whether to approve it.
The connected assistant can only access the information you authorise in your workspace. Available Cash requires access to all the data used in its calculation.
One URL. Your Workspace.
Add the connector in your platform and authorize access in Bunnatic. Find your assistant’s instructions below.
Add Bunnatic
Open your assistant’s MCP settings and add a remote HTTP server with this URL.
Authorize your Workspace
Sign in to Bunnatic, choose your Workspace and review the permissions you are granting.
Start with a question
Enable the connector’s tools. Try this month’s Expenses, or ask it to prepare a Reconciliation for review.
Authorization opens in Bunnatic through OAuth. You don’t need to copy tokens or create a secret key.
Connect it where you already work.
These assistants document remote MCP connections with OAuth. Follow your platform’s example; its version and your organization’s policies may affect setup.
ClaudeAdd a custom connector
In Claude, open Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste the Bunnatic URL. Authorize your Workspace and enable the connector in a conversation.
If authentication options appear, choose to sign in and register the client automatically. On Team or Enterprise, your organization Owner may need to add it first.
Platform documentationCursorSet up the server in mcp.json
Add this entry to .cursor/mcp.json in your project, keeping any other servers you already use.
.cursor/mcp.json
{
"mcpServers": {
"bunnatic": {
"url": "https://bunnatic.com/api/mcp"
}
}
}Start connecting in Cursor’s MCP settings and complete authorization in Bunnatic.
Platform documentationVS Code / CopilotUse the tools in agent mode
Add Bunnatic to .vscode/mcp.json. Start the server from VS Code and review the trust request.
.vscode/mcp.json
{
"servers": {
"bunnatic": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://bunnatic.com/api/mcp"

}Complete OAuth authorization in Bunnatic and enable the tools in Copilot Chat’s agent mode.
Platform documentationCodex CLIAdd the URL and sign in
In a current version of Codex CLI, run these commands to add the server and authorize it through dynamic client registration.
codex mcp add bunnatic --url https://bunnatic.com/api/mcp
codex mcp login bunnatic --oauth-client-registration dcrComplete authorization in your browser. Then use Bunnatic’s tools from Codex.
Platform documentationUsing another platform?
Look for remote MCP over Streamable HTTP and OAuth with dynamic client registration (DCR). Add the same URL and follow the authorization flow. If your platform only supports local servers or static tokens, this connection won’t be enough.
Your finances, under your control.
Connecting an assistant keeps Bunnatic’s permissions and the review step before changes are applied.
Access to the Workspace you authorize
Each connection is bound to your chosen Workspace and respects your current role and permissions.
Changes go through you
Proposals to create Records or reconcile Bank Transactions are reviewed and approved in Bunnatic.
Disconnect whenever you want
Review and revoke your connections in Bunnatic’s Connectors section.
Before you connect.
What is Bunnatic’s MCP connector?
It is a connection that lets an AI assistant use Bunnatic’s tools with the access you authorize: look up Records, check Available Cash and prepare proposals for your review.
Can I use it with any MCP platform?
Your platform must support remote MCP over Streamable HTTP and OAuth authorization with dynamic client registration. This page includes examples for Claude, Cursor, VS Code and Codex CLI. Availability also depends on the platform’s version and your organization’s policies.
Do I need a Bunnatic account?
Yes. You sign in to Bunnatic and authorize a Workspace when connecting your assistant. You also need access to MCP connections in your chosen platform.
What data can the assistant access?
Data allowed by the connection, your role and your current Workspace permissions. Available Cash requires full access to its calculation inputs and shows its sources and limitations; it is not your bank balance.
Can it change my finances on its own?
The connector prepares proposals to create Records or reconcile Bank Transactions. You review and approve those proposals inside Bunnatic before they are applied.
How do I disconnect a platform?
Open Connectors in Bunnatic and revoke the connection. You can authorize a new connection if you decide to use it again.
